Jordan Silverman joined SSGOVRELATIONS, LLC as the Director of Special Projects in July 2015 after working for two years in the non-profit sector focusing on issues relating to healthcare and tax reform.
Before joining the firm, Silverman worked as the Membership Coordinator for Americans Standing for the Simplification of the Estate Tax (ASSET) from August 2014 to July 2015. ASSET is a non-profit organization that brings together private businesses, family farms, ranches, and individuals advocating for a change to the estate tax collection method to save jobs. At ASSET, Silverman drafted and managed blog posts for the website, set meetings with members of Congress to discuss the ASSET plan for estate tax reform, developed strategies for attracting a broader range of members through social media advertising.
Prior to his time at ASSET, Silverman worked as a Government Relations and Public Policy Intern for Adventist Healthcare, a non-profit healthcare organization operating in Maryland, from July to October 2013. While at Adventist Healthcare, he compiled extensive research regarding national and state hospital associations, as well as current healthcare laws and regulations. He used this information to compose reports on these associations’ actions and give recommendations on how Adventist Healthcare should best partner with them. Silverman also underwent Lean Six Sigma training at Adventist with the Operational Excellence Department.
Silverman earned a B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park from the College of Arts and Humanities in May 2014 with a major in History and a minor in Philosophy. He currently resides in Silver Spring with his fiancé Kathryn.
